Celebrating in Early Fall

The beginning of fall in 2015 was full of fun things to celebrate.

Celebrating the Riverdancer!

A friend's birthday at Chuck E Cheese
Another birthday party at Fiesta Farms
Caden's birthday at the skating rink
Celebrating Halloween early

Celebrating cuteness
...and this block thingy you made me photograph
Celebrating successful [though unwanted] nap times!
Even just having "Time" with Mom at Orange Leaf!
Surprise! Mom and Baby are the only ones home during the day.

We can also surprise you at lunchtime if you had a bad day the day before!

Wildhorse Tri 2015

Backup a bit to June. One of our first adventures of the summer was the Wildhorse Triathlon, such great fun!

This year I (Laurel) accidentally got "extra credit" for doing an extra lap on the bike (my least favorite part!)--instead of 10 miles on the bike, I logged 15. Of course, I didn't realize it until afterward. It was still fun. Even while swimming I was smiling; my face hurt by the end from smiling so much!
I look deceptively comfortable on that bike.

The boys did the kids' version.
They LOVED it.
Noah partnered with Eva K for the swimming portion, but Isaac did the full tri.

I'm so proud of my boys! We all had a blast doing/watching this.

Just Like That

Summer was winding down and we knew it. There were a few things we needed to take time for, just once more--to feel like we were ready to say goodbye to summer 2015.
Time for one last family trip to Six Flags before the water park closed.

Time for headstands and swimming and Legos with Dad.

Time for a Scorpions game, complete with autographs at the end.

And just like that, one of the best summers on record ended.
Class Lists were posted

Meet the Teacher night came and went (but only Noah got a picture)

This is Ellie's first year at Krueger. Three of my kids in one school! That will only happen 2 for years. Then Babycakes became an only child during the day.
We would take advantage of our new situation by going running to the pool, where we'd go swimming; then we ran home again.

Ladybird Johnson Lake

As if the summer of 2015 wasn't epic enough, just as it was nearly over we had the awesome opportunity to spend some time at the lake, boating with our friends, the Bahrs. It was spectacular!

And just like that, our summer was over. Best summer on record!

More Fun in Utah- Summer 2015

We have been looking forward to having Natalie meet her cousin Atticus since they were both born. We also got to introduce her to Cheyney and her wonderful family as well as Katie and her son Daniel. Good times!

We have to enjoy some good family climbing while in Utah (San Antonio is deprived of such privileges).
And most of the family got to go to the world-famous Kamas Demolition Derby!

On the way home we finally got to stop in Roswell at the alien museum!

La Casa de Papa Brough

After the Kamas reunion was over, we cleaned up, packed up and said our goodbyes...and headed over the mountains to Plain City. Because that's where Papa Brough lives!

Dad & Terree live in what we describe as a little piece of heaven. They have a comfortable house, with all the games and activities that grandchildren adore. Add to that a lush and fun backyard, Terree's fabulous cooking and Dad's wonderful music, and you have yourself a recipe for an awesome time. We even went boating, which is a "must-do" with Daddy Brough.

Here are the only picture I have left:
Dane, Noelle and Atticus joined in on the fun. They are Dad's most frequent visitors!

Fun times trying to surf, swim and survey.

Sliding sleeping and more surveying. Noah and Miley got along great!

Kamas July 2015

There are few places we love more than Kamas. In July 2015 we had the opportunity to go for a family reunion and stay at Grandpa Wagstaff's house. Since our computer crashed, the only pictures we have left are the ones we actually posted on Facebook. Thank goodness for that!

The kids loved being in that old house and discovering all its nooks and relics. They thoroughly enjoyed every bit of that experience!

It was wonderful to spend so much time with their Great Grandpa, and an added bonus was having their Grandma and Grandpa Laney as well as Uncle Steve stay there, too. The time went by so fast, but they climbed everything they could! And we took some walks and runs all over the area. In addition, we played with cousins, second cousins, aunts & uncles, and grandparents. Such great memories! Grandpa Laney even brought a tent for the kids to camp out in the back yard, complete with his famous Samurai ghost stories.
Noah enjoyed the random toys from kids now-grown

Isaac climbed lots of trees. Once he fell...quite far. It left him windless and scratched.

The barn, no longer used for milking cows, was the site of our movie night.

So much good stuff to discover!
