Upon seeing this title, some of you may perk up and some of you may shudder. However, if you're willing to do it, we have an assignment for each of you.
Warning: this is gonna get political. Lately we have been frustrated by people saying "vote for so-and-so" (insert candidate's name) and giving really silly reasons...like fabulous cheek bones. People. We want facts. Show us you aren't ignorant. Demonstrate your ability to think critically. Talk about the ISSUES.
Your assignment is to comment on this post, telling us who you would like to have the office of President of the United States as well as why, using 3 real and applicable-to-the-office reasons. We don't care if it's your grandpa or somebody famous...just give us their stance on the issues and how this country would benefit.
Another thing: don't panic if it doesn't show up right away. It has to be "approved" first, but, as long as it isn't vile, it will be published. We arrive in Baltimore in 2 and a half weeks, so this blog depends on your comments until then. I expect great things....

I think it it funny that you have not received any comments-it just shows how politically knowledgeable we all are!
I vote Mickey Mouse to be president. He is friendly to everyone, cares about us all, and doesn't have any skeletons in his closet. He also has lots of experience running the "Magic Kingdom", aka Evil Empire, and has dealt with heads of state and famous people.
Laura gets a C for at least making a comment. :) Tiffany gets full credit for making a very convincing case. Very impressive!
I've wanted to do my 'home work assignment' for a long time, but I've had two problems standing in my way. The frist being, I never have time anymore to write more then two word comments anymore and the second being that I realized that I just don't know enough about this. I really wanted Romney (sp?) because McCain is really a democrate in sheep's clothing. He has the most liberal voting style of ANY republican in the party (I do know that for a fact, just can't remember the article to reference it here) and although Obama is like the rock star of politics, his "cool" persona is only skin deep. I have yet to find one article or hear one speach where he talks about HOW he will get all of this "change" done. I also have to admit, all of the anti emails and stories that I receive about him make me nervous. I've seen campaign bashing before, but never over the person running for president not beleiving in God or being patriotic. That scares me. So in short, I'm with Bob and Tiff, my vote goes to Mickey.
P.S.- sorry for typos, there's only so much I can control while typing and nursing, lol.
That's easy! http://seriouslysoblessed.blogspot.com/2008/09/tamners-goes-to-washington.html
