Tidbits and Updates

We had our end-of-summer extravaganza in August. It was a lot of fun, despite the rain.
Becky brought more beautiful flowers, of course.

The Clausers--some of our new friends

Shernell & fam

Tom & Summer

We missed the rest of the Poseys, but we got to see Ammon

Bree and Holly

The Weyermans were our neighbors back in Provo

Noah woke up with crazy hair to all these people at our house

You can't really tell, but it's raining. Quite a bit. These guys were just out there talking and flipping meat on the barbeque like nothing could be more natural.

Noah found a nice dry view of the slip-n-slide die-hards from the laundry room.

Richard & Becky
My favorite picture, courtesy of little Caleb:
What a thoroughly tired and dirty three-year old looks like at midnight:

I know, what kind of parents are we? We'll blame it on Shernell for staying so long!

Next theme: We've been having our own little preschool/joy school lately, and it's a HIT. Isaac likes "school" again, and Noah always has a blast.

A shared mural, by you-know-who. I don't even remember what we learned that day.
"Fingerpainting with chocolate pudding and whipped cream"

This was a lot of fun, quite unforgettable.

It stimulates all five senses, which is what we learned about all week.
On another note, here is one of Jared's good friends. He and his pals come up on the porch every night to catch flies and crickets and Jared cannot resist taking 20 pictures every time.
Last Saturday was the Primary Jamboree with lots of water games.
Bewildered intimidation: how Isaac looked for most every activity.
Noah had been trying to get his hands on that ball the entire morning. Yes!

Isaac's about to learn which has more soaking power...that was not one of the prescribed games.

Finally: kids, don't play with scissors. See the chunk o' missing hair?
It forced us to do this...
Lucky for him it wasn't left that way!

We were surprised, too. Luckily, we had just had family pictures taken that day (you'll see more about that later). It's taking a while to get used to it; he looks so different! We may have evoked sympathy in public, but we're grateful he's not a real cancer kid.

It looks like you guys have been having lots of fun! I recognize that shirt that Noah is wearing! Remember those pictures of Isaac and Tanner wearing those shirts as twinners? Wow - they grow so fast! And those pics of your boys are ADORABLE. Glad to see you guys are well!

Oh my gosh, I LOVE that Isaac cut his hair...what a great memory (and I also really dig the buzz cut--shows off his cute face more). Wow, you've got quite the collection of friends there. You could at least PRETEND you're lonely and really miss your sister! Ha ha. I'm so proud that you're doing joy school...have fun!
