Baby Mine

It will forever be a mystery to me why the scene of "Baby Mine" from Dumbo makes me cry...every...single...time.... And I've seen the movie dozens of times. I honestly don't remember watching it without crying at that part, even as a little girl.It may be that I love my mom so much, and I could not imagine having her be taken away from me and locked up in a place with the sign "mad elephant" outside it. haha...
I guess I knew I'd be a mother, deep down, even though I never consciously thought about it until much later. So I was starting to relate to how a mom feels about her little ones. They are so precious; they're not ours, but we get to teach them...and be taught.
I'm really not a good mom--I fall short in so many ways! But I want to be. And everyone has to start somewhere, right?

So, without further gab from me, here are a few more angelic pictures of my newborn. They were taken by my sister a couple of weeks ago and I wanted to share them.

Here is my first baby, forever. Poor Isaac: such huge adjustments! And his crazy Momma cries every time he watches Dumbo.

Oh my gosh that part/song from Dumbo SOOO tugs my heart-strings every time I see or hear it!!! I didn't know it made you cry! That's so sweet! And for the record you're an AMAZING Mom; Adam and I both completely agree that you and Jared are model parents and the Laneys are a model family...and our particular favorites!(and it takes a lot for Adam to give ANYONE a compliment...don't ya know? hee hee).

Oh my goodness, I react the exact same way! :) It must be something about the name we share, right? :) In fact, my mom stopped letting me watch it when I was young because I always cried at that part. And it has so much more significance now that I'm a mom. It's so surreal that someone else feels the same way about it. :)

Laurel - I've always cried at that part too! But I agree that now that I'm a mom - anything that deals with a mother and children and their relationships or anything really cute about kids and how amazing they are makes me emotional! I'm just really emotional though . . . .

I cry in that part too. Totally. LOL Its SAD!
thats the song I sing to all my babies, they (Adele and Elaine, Seth is too little obviously) know it by heart and will sing it when I pretend to sleep with them. I love Leann Womack's version of it. :)
And your baby is WAY adorable woman! You guys just make them gorgeous!
